A Personal Invitation to a Very Special Workshop 🌱

Hi Reader

I know you’re used to hearing from me on Wednesdays—but I’m popping into your inbox today with something a little different and very close to my heart.

This weekend, I’m hosting an in-person parenting workshop—and I would truly love for you to join me.

Last summer, I took a step back from teaching, coaching, and podcasting. Something felt… off. Even though I was sharing valuable insights through various platforms, I couldn’t shake the feeling that it wasn’t enough. I started to question whether I was truly helping—and, to be honest, I felt like an imposter.

So I stopped. I stopped consuming the endless cycle of parenting and psychology books I’d been immersed in, and I turned to something deeper. I began studying ancient wisdom—philosophy, theology, and spiritual teachings from different traditions.

And something clicked.

I felt like I had found what I had been searching for all along. It felt like I had found the truth. I know that might sound dramatic, but that’s genuinely what it felt like. A year later, I’m still just scratching the surface, and I’m more excited than ever to keep learning.

But I also felt a strong pull to start sharing what I’ve discovered. That’s why I created this workshop.

✨ Becoming the Leaders Our Kids Need Us to Be
🗓 This Sunday at 4PM
📍The Awakened Village Collaborative – Stanhope, NJ

We’ll dive into: - What good vs. bad authority really means
- Why the word “authority” can feel so uncomfortable
- Why our children need our leadership—now more than ever
- How we can step into the role of benevolent leaders in our homes

This isn’t just another parenting workshop. It’s the beginning of a deeper conversation—one rooted in ancient wisdom, modern insight, and a commitment to becoming the kind of parents our children truly need.

💛 And there’s more:
All proceeds from this event will support the Awakened Village Collaborative’s renovation project. This isn’t just any renovation—our kids are actively involved in every part of it, gaining hands-on experience and real-life skills. It’s beautiful to witness, and I’m proud to support it.

I hope to see you there.
With warmth and excitement,
Efrat

The Parenting Wisdom

Our educational system often falls short, focusing on subjects that lack relevance for our children's futures. This approach can breed a disdain for learning and lead them away from their passions, disconnecting them from their true paths. The Alternative Parenting podcast aims to address this gap by exploring the essential skills, tools, and traits necessary for our kids to thrive and find fulfillment in life. Join my weekly newsletter where I will inform you on new episodes of the podcast where we delve into how to empower our children to pursue their interests, dreams, and create lives rich with purpose and meaning.

Dear Reader So many voices today are sounding the alarm: our children are suffering from a mental health crisis. Anxiety and depression rates are soaring. Suicide attempts—and tragically, suicides themselves—are at an all-time high. Kids are lonelier than ever, struggling with motivation, and increasingly failing to launch into adulthood—staying in their parents’ homes, avoiding responsibility, and searching for identity in places that often leave them more lost. But what if we’re naming the...

Hi there Reader This week, I’m diving into a question that touches nearly every parent, teacher, and caregiver today—why do so many kids seem lost, anxious, or unmoored, even when their basic needs are met? To understand what’s happening, we need to zoom out. Our society has undergone a profound transformation. We’ve moved from a culture rooted in hierarchy, authority, and tradition to one that prioritizes openness, equality, and emotional authenticity. While these values have brought...

Hi Reader As parents, it’s so easy to fall into constant motion. We’re always doing: errands, appointments, drop-offs, lessons, activities. We run from one moment to the next, barely stopping to catch our breath, let alone reflect on the beauty of life as it is right now. But ancient wisdom reminds us to pause. Across cultures and traditions, there are rituals designed to pull us back into presence—especially through gratitude. In Judaism, for example, gratitude is woven into almost every...
